Nothing demonstrates the steady corrosive power of water better than a canyon. Carving its way through solid rock, The Colorado River took millions of years to create this incredible natural wonder—The Grand Canyon.

Fact is, driving down the South Rim and taking some pictures is not the best way of experiencing what the Grand Canyon has to offer. Only a helicopter tour with a view from above can reveal all of the amazing and breathtaking wonders of the Grand Canyon.

What is the view like?

There are a lot of amazing things to see on a the tour. The Canyon is massive, 277 miles long and about 18 miles wide! and the best way to explore this marvellous site is by helicopter.

A tour with an aerial view is like no other you have experienced before. You will be exhilarated by a feeling of exploration as you enter the mysterious depths of the Canyon, which can reach 1,500 feet below the rim.

Helicopters are allowed to fly lower than airplanes (1,000 feet lower) and this means that you will see more of the Canyon.

When is the busy season?

The busiest time of the year to visit the Grand Canyon is from Memorial day, which is at the end of may, to the beginning of September. This is also the hottest time of the year with crowds that make the experience less fun. So, to avoid the throngs of tourists, take a helicopter tour for a more peaceful tour.

What will the weather be like?

The Grand Canyon is elevated with varying climatic conditions. From dramatic highs to lows, the weather is unpredictable and can change instantly throughout the year. During the summer months, the Grand Canyon gets some thundershowers and during the winter months, the South Rim experiences several feet of snow. My advice is to dress for the unexpected even though you will be touring in a helicopter.

Remember to take some personal items that will help make your experience more memorable. Take a high-resolution camera for amazing photographs, take with you some sunscreen lotion to protect your skin from the rays of the sun and also have your photo ID handy for easy identification.
